Calibration reporting that no longer has to be written by hand.

Mira3D. Industrial and additive manufacturing.

less manual reporting effort
~80%

Figure describes the Mira3D calibration workflow our engineers worked on.

Business problem

In an additive-manufacturing calibration workflow, measurements were captured and written up manually. It was slow, and the reporting step depended on people re-assembling results.

The challenge

The software had to work with real hardware. Camera frames and encoder positions arrive together and must be processed as they happen, reliably enough to replace manual readings.

What we built

  • Calibration software connected to industrial cameras and encoders
  • Measurement capture assisted by machine learning
  • Services that carry captured data through to reporting
  • Reports produced automatically at the end of a run

Result

Reporting that used to be assembled by hand is now produced by the software.
